Our Choir Classroom!
We use a number of different methods in class to measure musical growth in performance, notation reading, vocal technique, self assessment, and performance critique. Some of these assessments are written while other are based on performance. Please see the assignments broken down by grade level below.
Each student is required to bring their binder and music issued in class. Students must also bring a pencil to class as well.

Concert Attendance PolicyStudents are expected to be at all performances for their ensemble! Please consider your schedule - practices and rehearsals vs. performances. Music is a team effort and our concerts are a test of the student’s musical growth. Missing students hurt the team. Every voice matters.
Students are expected to be ready to go at their call-time, meaning they should count on showing up 5-10 minutes early than when they need to be there. It will be noted when a student arrives more than 5 minutes late. Some conflicts are unavoidable. Always, email Miss Karnick about conflicts as soon as possible. An alternate assignment will be given and due 2 weeks after the missed concert. |
Late work can earn full-credit as long as it is turned in prior to the end of the trimester. However, students should strive to complete their work on time.
Unsatisfactory work (<92%) can be resubmitted for additional points prior to the end of the trimester.
Last day of the trimester = grades are final
